Page Settings, SEO & Head HTML
Set a page's URL, status and access, and control search and social previews with Head HTML.
Every page has settings for its address, visibility, search and social previews, and caching. Open them from Admin → Pages → Edit settings on the page's row.
Title, slug and route
- Title — the page's name in the admin, and its default browser title.
- Slug — a short, unique name such as
pricing. By default the page is served at/<slug>. - Route — optional. Set it to give the page a different public URL,
including nested ones such as
products/widget. Once set, the route is the page's only public URL; the plain/<slug>address stops working.
The home page is the page with route home, served at /.
Status and access
- Status — Draft pages are visible only to logged-in admins. Completed pages are published.
- Required role — restrict the page to users holding a given role. Everyone else can't see it. You can also change this from the Access column in the Pages list. See Users, Roles & Access.
Search and social previews
Use Head HTML to add tags to the page's <head>. Only meta, link,
style, script and title tags are kept; anything else is removed when
you save.
This is where you set what search engines and social networks show:
<title>Pricing — Acme</title>
<meta name="description" content="Simple plans for teams of every size. Start free.">
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/images/pricing-card.png">
If you leave them out, the page title, an excerpt of the page, and no image are used instead.
Head HTML is also the place for page-specific fonts and styles:
<link rel="preconnect" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Inter:wght@400;700&display=swap">
<style>
.hero h1 { letter-spacing: -0.02em; }
</style>
