Reusable Blocks & Templates
Build once and reuse everywhere: library blocks that stay in sync, shared layouts with slots, and page templates.
Build something once and use it everywhere. Reusable blocks are shared pieces — a header, a pricing table, a call to action — that stay in sync across every page. Templates are starting points for whole new pages.
Reusable blocks
A reusable block lives in the Block Library. Every page that uses it shows the same content: edit the block once, and every page follows.
Save a block to the library
- In the page builder, select the block (or container) you want to reuse.
- In its properties, click ⭐ Save.
- Give it a Block name. It now appears in the builder's Library tab and under Admin → Block Library.
Use a library block
- Drag it from the builder's Library tab onto any page, or
- select an existing block and click Replace… to swap it for a library block.
Edit a library block
Go to Admin → Block Library and click Edit block. You get the same builder as for pages. When you save, every page using the block shows the change.
Use Edit settings to change its name or slug. Deleting a library block leaves a placeholder on any page that still uses it, so replace those first.
Layouts: a shared frame with slots
A library block can also be a layout — a frame such as a navbar, footer and background, with holes that each page fills with its own content.
- Edit a library block and add Slot blocks where page content should go (for example "Page body").
- Save. The block is marked Layout in the Block Library automatically.
- On each page, add the layout block and fill its slots.
Change the navbar in the layout once, and every page using it updates.
Page templates
Templates give a new page a head start.
- Save one: open any page in the builder (or the HTML editor) and click Save as Template.
- Use one: when creating a page, choose Start from template and Browse templates…. The new page starts as a copy you can change freely.
- Manage them: Admin → Templates lets you edit, categorize and delete templates.
Which one should I use?
| You want… | Use |
|---|---|
| The same content on many pages, kept in sync | Reusable block |
| The same frame (nav, footer) around every page | Layout |
| A starting point that each page then changes | Template |
